Pfingstmontag
Aufgrund eines kirchlichen Anlasses bleibt die Kirche St. Martin am Pfingstmontag, 25.05.2026, bis 14.00 Uhr, für alle Besucher geschlossen.
2026 ist ein reguläres Kontrolljahr der über 900 Jahren alten Bilderdecke. Vom 15. August bis 11. Oktober finden die Kontrolluntersuchungen statt.
Das Spezialgerüst wird im westlichen Teil des Kirchenschiffes aufgestellt und die Bildtafeln können zur Hälfte (63 an der Zahl) betrachtet werden. Während dieser Zeit bekommen die Besucher zusätzlichen einen Informationsfilm über die Arbeiten auf dem Gerüst, in der Kirche, sowie in der Ausstellung zusehen.
Wir hoffen auf ihr Verständnis, denn nur so ist gewährleistet das diese Bilderdecke weiterhin vor Ort bleiben kann.

A causa di un occasione in chiesa, la Chiesa di San Martino sarà chiusa a tutti i visitatori fino alle 14.00 del Lunedì di Pentecoste, 25.05.2026
Il 2026 è un anno di controllo regolare per il soffitto dipinto, che ha oltre 900 anni. Dal 15 agosto all’11 ottobre si svolgeranno le verifiche di controllo.
L’impalcatura speciale sarà installata nella parte occidentale della navata e sarà possibile osservare circa la metà delle tavole pittoriche (63 in totale). Durante questo periodo, i visitatori potranno inoltre vedere un film informativo sui lavori svolti sull’impalcatura, nella chiesa e nell’esposizione.
Confidiamo nella vostra comprensione, poiché solo così è possibile garantire che questo soffitto dipinto possa continuare a rimanere in loco.
Information for all visitors of the 2026 season
Whit Monday
Due to a church event, St. Martin’s Church will be closed to all visitors until 2.00 p.m. on Whit Monday, 25.05.2026
2026 is a regular inspection year for the painted ceiling, which is over 900 years old. From August 15 to October 11, inspection checks will take place.
The special scaffolding will be installed in the western part of the nave, and around half of the painted panels (63 in total) will be accessible to view. During this time, visitors will also be able to watch an informational film about the work carried out on the scaffolding, in the church, and in the exhibition.
We appreciate your understanding, as this is the only way to ensure that this painted ceiling can remain on site in the future.
Information à l’attention de tous les visiteurs de la saison 2026
lundi de la Pentecôte
En raison d’un événement religieux, l’église Saint-Martin sera fermée à tous les visiteurs jusqu’à 14h 00 le lundi de la Pentecôte, le 25.05.2026
L’année 2026 est une année de contrôle régulier du plafond peint, âgé de plus de 900 ans.
Du 15 août au 11 octobre, des contrôles d’inspection auront lieu.
L’échafaudage spécial sera installé dans la partie ouest de la nef et environ la moitié des panneaux peints (63 au total) pourra être observée. Pendant cette période, les visiteurs pourront également visionner un film d’information sur les travaux réalisés sur l’échafaudage, dans l’église ainsi que dans l’exposition.
Nous vous remercions de votre compréhension, car c’est la seule manière de garantir que ce plafond peint puisse continuer à rester sur place.

Ausstellung zur Kirchendecke
Seit Sommer 1993 besitzt die Gemeinde Zillis-Reischen am Postplatz eine permanente Ausstellung zur weltberühmten romanischen Bilderdecke der Kirche St. Martin. Mit zeitgemässen museologischen Mitteln trägt sie zum Verständnis von Kirchendecke und mittelalterlicher Bilderwelt bei. Die Besucherinnen und Besucher erhalten Auskunft über das geschichtliche und geographische Umfeld, in dem ein solches Kunstwerk entstehen konnte. Die Ausstellung gibt Einblick in die Malerwerkstatt eines mittelalterlichen Künstlers. Sie zeigt die besondere Konstruktion der Decke und berichtet über Erhaltungszustand und über die Altersbestimmung der Bildtafeln.
